Expert restorers. What brand/type of adhesive have you used successfully to glue things like hose cuffs to hoses, gluing metal hose ends into electrical hoses.

Years ago, a friend and employee of a vacuum shop, showed me a metal can of adhesive they use. She said, "use this and it isn't going anywhere".

Thank you Mike,

I will order some. I have seen stuff in parts that look like contact cement, but I was sure that was not it.

you can order pliobond on eBay or special order it at any ace hardware and pick up. i will warn you though, and its on their msds/product application verbiage, once opened those cans have a 9–12-month shelf life, then dry solid. this is unavoidable due to how pliobond cures.

once pliobond is exposed to oxygen, it starts curing in the bottle VERY slowly. its great stuff, but if you don't use it but once a year, you'll need a new can each time unless unopened.

It also comes in a tube besides the can and bottle.

Thanks,

looks like it needs to be in a tube. I don't use it enough to buy a can.

Bikerray, I miss your posts about your Thrift Finds.
