That is so nice of the Hoovers to have shown up and to do autographs for you all. I really wish I could have been there that night to have met them. |

Here's some additional Hoover Family history you might be interested in, as I have taken it upon myself to do some Hoover Family genealogy. It appears that Howard Earl (Bud) Hoover II's step-mother, Miriam Ulbinen Hoover, age 94, is still with us and lives in Glencoe, IL. Miriam Ulbinen was the housekeeper of the late Howard Earl Hoover, Sr. They married in Denver Oct 2, 1950, when he called her while on a business trip and told her to come to Denver for a wedding. Miriam, age 38, was H. Earl Hoover's, age 60, third wife. Miriam U Hoover played an integral part in the operation of the Hoover Co. H. Earl Hoover, as he was known, was Bud's father, and a nephew of the company's founder W.H. Hoover. He retired 1974 and died in 1985 at age 94. Mr. H.Earl Hoover, Sr. developed many patents for the suction sweeper and helped make famous the Hoover slogan "It beats as it sweeps as it cleans" Including, Howard Earl (Bud) Hoover II, Mr. H. Earl Hoover, Sr, had four sons. More to come
