I love this machine it's not the best at cleaning but it sure does a good job.

Neat!
I recently picked up a corded CrossWave "Pet Pro" at a thrift store for around $20.
Unlike you, however, after I acquire something, it usually takes me forever before I actually try using it. So, I can't tell you if ours does a good job.
I did buy the extra soft "wood floor" brushroll for it, since that's mainly what type of surface I'd be using it on.
Hope you enjoy yours!

Barry

Usually floor cleaners like this are meant to be used as a daily thing and when they are put to use as a weekly cleaner they cant cope with the mess. I think I seen this demonstrated on HSN and it seemed like it did a good job on the studio set at least. Your flooring doesn't look so difficult for it. I have textured linoleum and it needs a heavy duty scrubber to get it clean.

Have a cordless tineco. It's basically the same as what you have.
It takes a little bit of getting used to. It does a great job and the battery life is excellent.
