I made a post about it before with a Dirt Devil but recollecting my memory, its happened to me on multiple occasions and Im curious if anyone else has similar stories theyd like to share. Mandela Effect is when you remember something so distinctly but it turns out to have never actually existed the way YOU remember it. There used to be fliers for a store near me and they had an ARRAY of vacuum cleaners. I remeber seeing a purple translucent Hoover Widepath. But apparently NONE ever existed, the closest being a dark blue. But I also remember it having the older widepath/breathe easy style logo on the front on the picture in the flier so its a VERY bizarre case and I honestly wish I kept all those fliers. I made a sort of an example below of what im talking about LOL. Anyone else here experience the Mandela Effect with any particular vacuum? One that looks COMPLETELY different from the way you personally remember it?

Many years ago there was a Panasonic MC-6377 on YouTube someone was showing from their collection and I could've sworn at first that it looked green. But given that the camera quality wasn't the best at it's age, I then thought it was black cause it's in a very dark color. So I thought that was the end of the story. Until one day, this showed up on eBay and it was in a maroon color. Going back at that same video and looked very closely, turned out it was maroon all this time lol.

Upon further research

The possibility is there it could've been one of these two. It was around 2002 when I saw it and the store was a liquidators store so some models they sold were actuallt discontinued not too long before.

I definitely have had many “I could have sworn I once saw….” moments but for mine, the mysteries have yet to be solved! ☹️

I can think of three things I swear I once saw on the internet, but can no longer find them:

1. A Eureka Excaliber upright that had a slot in the back to store a bare floor brush
2. A unique cardboard caddy for the attachment set for a Eureka Emperor upright
3. Another unique cardboard tool caddy for the attachment set for a Eureka Wide Track (or maybe Sanitaire Wide Track) upright - this caddy was extra large to carry the extra wide floor brush and extra wide pan converter.

These three Eureka items have now completely disappeared from the internet, making me think I was somehow “seeing things” 😳😳😳😳

Could very well be what it was. It's not translucent but it IS purple, that dark purple also used in machines such as the Caddy Vac and The ultra Wind tunnel Self Propelled. Now these were from the 90s and I saw it around 2002. However it actually makes sense since the store the flyer was advertising for would actually sell discontinued models still new in box. It was a liquidation store.
