So I was browsing Facebook Marketplace and I came across what looked to be a Royal branded Hoover Decade commercial. I am not getting this (it is a very high price, $245!) and it is somewhere out in CT. I will post a link if you want to see it:

for anybody wondering why I made this thread, I just wanted to share it.

Isn't it a shame to see that name on that machine?

it is a shame. I disappointed that Royal had to copy Hoover. Can't they make their own vacuums?

not.  I've seen Royal on several different Hoovers.

You think the owner of hoover is putting the royal name on it. Royals were better commercial vacuums than Hoover.
They've ghosted the royal name and all commercial vacuums are rebranded some hoover etc.

They've been doing this ever since TTI acquired Hoover in 2007. And it wasn't the only model they did it on.

It's an outdated Hoover product they slapped Royal labels on. I have the Royal Pro Series Windtunnel clone. The shades of plastic don't even match on the parts and the PROSERIES logo is just a sticker.

I suspect that Royal had languished product and sales were dropping at the time so they had to do something to try and be fresh so they started pushing out rebranded Hoovers.
