Got this little guy from Ebay Canada. Built in Luton, England supposedly only for the Canadian market. It was in really rough shape, someone had put in an Airway paper bag, then sucked up oil which made it tear open. Still need a bag, it should be the same diameter of an XI bag. Since this model has no in-unit switch, it would have a unique set of prongs in the back. I wouldn't know, since someone removed them and hardwired a lamp cord. This wouldn't work for me lol, so I took an old broken percolator cord end, hardwired the motor to the switch inside the cord end, And taped it enough to fit in the holder with friction. The leatherette is actually red with blue mottles - but the only way someone would know is to look closely at the underside, or the red bakelite hose holder. I am unsure what the hose I put on the machine end goes to, it is lined with canvas/cardboard so it holds decent air. The other end is from a postwar Lux.
Pics are before, after, and it with my Z25 and XII. |
