Motor just went south on my floor model V13C10
I'd like to repair it.
I'm interested in a motor or a complete model even if it's not in real good condition.
My model is green.

unless the motor filed cooked the varnish off the windings giving you a smoke show, you dont need a new motor. likely need new carbons or service the bearings.

Yes, always verify grease, bearings, bushings, oil, first. Then if the damage goes further than that, go from there. With over 100 vacuums, I've never come across a totally blown motor yet, so I wouldn't say it's a common issue. I've come across seized, rusty, skunky, bad manufacturing, but not seen completely exploded yet.
