Thanks for the reply Ben. Wasn't aware of that one either. Dirt Devil definitely has some pretty forgotten products. Some because they were bad (probably anything post TTI) but others were actually quality machines like the Ultra MVP. |

This looks like a European market Dirt Devil. Euro Dirt Devil hand vacs were always furnished in a deep metallic red color. Made it look more "high class" than the cheap red we got.
EDIT: I confirmed my own suspicions. This hand vac for sale in Birmingham England.

The big difference between the Dirt Devil hand vac and the Royal Prince 501, of which I have three, is the body of the Royal is made of metal, instead of plastic. The design was intended to complement that of the metal Royal uprights. I almost bought a Dirt Devil hand vac at a thrift store a while back, just to have a spare brush roll for my Royals. I probably should have, seeing as it was only $4 or $5.
