Was just browsing the net searching for images of vacuums in Spanish (aspiradora) and came across two vacuums in Argentina that look like Eureka clones! The link below shows a Eureka Crown Princess vac branded as a Yelmo. Yelmo seems to be an Argentinian vacuum company.
Argentina is pretty far from North America...I wonder if Eureka just licensed the design and specs to Yelmo so that the vacs could be made in South America. There are also pics on the internet of a Yelmo Princess canister in classic Eureka Williams Lagoon Blue turquoise. CLICK HERE TO GO TO eurekaprince's LINK |

I don’t know Doug…these models were made by Eureka Williams before it was sold to Electrolux AB. Mid to late 1960’s. It’s a mystery to me. Same mystery as Mexico’s Koblenz selling Eureka clones at the same time.
This may be proof of Eureka Wlliams’ claim that they produced “more kinds of vacuum cleaners than anyone else in the world”…according to their TV commercials in the 1960’s. |
