With the unrestored condition and non-original bag I doubt highly this is worth $2,500 - can buy a couple cars with that - but yes these are indeed rare.

It's your dream machine and you don't want to sell it but you have to put it for sale. He has every Kirby made practically and getting rid of almost everyone. If I were to price you would have to have to let it go.
The kid is a you tube vacuum royalty and it's most prized vacuum. I don't blame him the vacuum took him 8 or so years to find.

When I first saw this, I knew the front axle wasn't right, and sure enough "The front axle is a brand new custom made part, made specifically for this machine. Along with new generic rubber front wheels". To me that greatly reduces its value as a collectable, and as such is overpriced.

Have to give him credit for disclosing it's a new axle. I have never seen a Scott fetzer sanitation system for sale. I had a second chance to get a vacuette electric and I bought it. It doesn't have the front axle but without a very expensive cnc machine there not readily available.
It's probably Thomas's price he has to have to let the machine go. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts a cash offer it could be had for less.
I think the axle fits nicely and doesn't effect the wires for what I believe is the safety switch.
It's getting publicity and people are looking. Is it overpriced who knows. I've learned you can't raise your price so shoot for the moon and even if you miss your in the stars.
