Are you in the USA or EU? If in the USA, this is a British machine and it was never sold here. It hopefully still is on 220v and its original motor. It would be pretty special finding one of these in the wild just randomly here in the States.
I can;t say if it's worth $600, I believe in vacuums being affordable and enjoyable and not something to price people out of the hobby - but I guess model trains are no different to this aspect either. lol I always heard of the general rule for sellers - never accept your first offer. Hopefully someone will come along and give you some more detailed info on what you found. This reminds me a lot to our Hoover Elite Legacy vacuums. |

I worked at a vacuum store in 1985 and we had these and they were the “Sovereign”. They sold poorly. |

Take the money and run. They’ll never see the money in return. Also, we all know each other, so don’t shoot yourself in the foot. That’s a lot of money for some 1980s plastic. |

Yes, I know I paid a lot for this cleaner, but to me, it’s well worth it, I’ve personally been after one since I know their existence. My late grandmother owned one when I was a child, as in- it lasted until 2005. But, my grandfather pitched it, as someone said(sorry, I don’t know how to tag you as I rarely post on here) I won’t be making my money back, and I’m okay with that. I’m just grateful to be reunited with a piece from my childhood.

The buyer paid $750 with shipping and it is going to some restoration expert. You can see the sale on eBay. It looks like they found this post lol, I'm sure they'll enjoy. |
