I purchased a first or second generation dirt meter. I am sourcing replacement glass ( 4 5/8 in) diameter and gaskets seals- a user on a FB group posted links to parts. I’m wondering how I can tell the p/n of the meter itself. Where would that be stamped or marked? Thank you

Gary,
If I may ask, 'Why don't you source them from a local Kirby office in your area?' Here at the Customer Service Center, we/I have those parts in stock. Gary, if you (or anyone) have further questions about this or other Kirby questions, don't hesitate to ask. And again, if anyone is after Kirby parts, keep me in mind next time as a source for your Genuine Kirby wants & needs. Most of the time, I'm sure I will be able to save you substantially. Cheers & hagd/n all, Bill 005 |

Bill - I did ask a question. You responded by asking a question. If your response was to advertise or let me know you are a genuine Kirby parts dealer, you did not share any contact information. I am not aware of what the Customer Service Center is or where it is located. FYI, I have purchased many Kirby parts from KirbyNeeds (Kent O, may he rest in peace). I am always open to searching for new suppliers and usually prefer to support local businesses.
Kind regards, Gary K. |

Went to his house while buying a vacuum. He showed me around. I got Christmas cards from him every year. He either had the part I needed or ordered the part for me.
I remember 2 things most fondly. He was leaving for wendover and he answered his phone and his wife said we have to go. He said it's Les he a friend and will be just a minute. The second was when I bought my second parts catalog from 505-sentria 2 from him. I asked about the avalir diagrams and he ordered them for me. He said it's $95 and I'm not making any money off it. I sent him $120 and said there's a little extra so you can make something and not order something and not charge me for it. I has my father and mother pass in 2018 and 2020. He was like a father someone I could call and talk about life and it helped me immensely. He's in a better place and I'm glad I was able to call him a friend. Sorry my post was punctuated correctly in advance. Les |

Les, Do you have pictures of his polisher? I'm curious as to what he used. |
