"Windtunnel" actually is not a model name - it's just a patent name on the technology. Any Hoover could be a Windtunnel. I think more as time went on they stopped being exclusively called "Windtunnels" and it started being relegated to just a marketing tagline and buzzword.
The V2's are definitely as next to impossible to find as the Z-series. That goofy quad-brushroll helix system and it's lovely little plastic cogwheel gearing ensured they died as rapidly and obtusely as possible. I love the red color on it the best. I have one in black that I got from Goodwill on eBay, I have no idea how it survived as long as it did - it was owned by a careless owner. One of the airstreams is totally clogged solid, the other is very dirty, and it's got tons of hair wrap and threads. It's a mess. |
