Hello folks..

I'm hoping to get some recommendations on a vacuum with a long wand so I can vacuum cob webs from the ceiling. Id prefer not to have the floor brush rotating when doing so. I'm envisioning a metal tube with detachable heads, and a washable filter would be great.. Miele's have a extension wands to reach the ceiling. But Ive been told I should look at a Henry instead.

Any suggestions, or input on the Henry?

Thanks!

OR....
you could get whatever vacuum you want and just buy this to go with it...which is what I did. As long as the vacuum cleaner has a hose...connect this to it and you can clean all over the place...I have to use a cheap adapter for it to fit my hose...I also like that the hose is light weight...I've had it 4 years now..no issues with the holes or tools and I use it all the time.

You should look at sidewinder Tools I feel like they would be a good match for your purpose. The standard wands for them are like 6' and I know they make some higher reach kits too If you're looking to attach a domestic vacuum you'll want to get the 1.25" wand/nozzles. The 8" brush should be a good choice .

As for the vacuum Henry is a powerful option there is also the Numatic James which uses the same motor with slightly less capacity and has a more basic cord halo rather than the manual winder, but comes at a lower price. You should use bags in them though. They're huge and pretty cheap. Also not using bags in them shortens the motor warranty.

Revision.

You know thinking about it some more Numatic James would be a better fit since it comes with lightweight aluminum wands, also if you ordered the 1.25" sidewinder tool you shouldn't need a special wand for it, and then you just need a few additional generic wands to extend the reach to the ceiling.

How tall is your ceiling height? A Henry with a few wand kits and a straight (not angled) dusting brush from any vacuum that will fit the wands would work.
