Yesterday, I walked into the Henry Company vacuum store with the intent of buying a Hoover Junior 115. As soon as I walked through the door , I saw a vacuum which I didn't recognize right off the top of my head but when I looked at the original bag, it read Kenmore De Luxe. I talked with a man who worked there and he said it was dropped off the previous morning. I looked on the bottom to find that it had a Hoover Windtunnel belt in it. I plugged the vacuum in and it turned on right away. The motor ran smooth and quiet and the original lightbulb shined bright. I tried to turn it off at the switch, but nothing happened and it appears someone has wired past the switch. I asked the man how much he wanted for it, and he said $25. There was no way I could pass up a vacuum this good so I ended up buying it. The metal on the vacuum is oxidized, but not at all corroded and not at all scratched. I polished it up a bit with Mothers Aluminum Polish and decided to put it away until next weekend where I would have more time to work on it. I will post pictures sometime later, not sure when though. I also have a couple of questions:

When was this vacuum made?

What belt will work in this vacuum when I want to use it?

Oh, and about that Hoover Junior, I took a look at it and decided that it's not worth buying. The model is 115, but someone painted it to look like a model 119. Even though the motor in this Hoover ran fine, I still wanted to buy the Kenmore more.
