That's my dream upright, I don't remember ever seeing them in thrift stores anywhere. Michigan sounds like a great place for old things.

Really Kyle?!!

The original taupe S-2 is one of my top 5 wanted dream machines.

Please tell you have an extra in good condition you'd sell to me so that I don't have to bid this one through the roof on Monday at 9:27 PM.

Back in November one in Wisconsin went on eBay for over $200. I was outbid.

Please? And you live so close to West Southern Ontario...

Dave

Well

ok, i don't think i will be listing any, and i am sorry to get anyones hopes up but i got an email from 2 club members and i am not gonna say who (unless they post saying they contacted me) and i had 3, and i am keeping one to myself, now that i know. I really am sorry Dave. But it is very likely that i come across another. So you'll be the first person i email...

Kyle

This Singer -is- pretty rare. It was designed by noted industrial designer Raymond Loewy. See link and scroll down.

There were several color variations -- gray, beige and pinkish-tan. I believe they came in that order.

It's a beautifully styled vacuum cleaner but rather an under-achiever; and it's noisy as hell.

Don't fret none, Kyle.

As Chad and I both advise in that other thread...there will always be another one come along.

Alas, I am at work until 11:30 tonight and can't send out email from here, only receive. But it's not as though I've been having bad luck lately. ROTFL. I'll wait my turn.

Sure, I/We want to see the S-2 manual...cause someday I will have the actual cleaner in my home.

I have actually never seen any singers in my area anywhere. Other than the lady who does my hair had a Singer S-2 sitting on her back porch for a few years. It has een gone for at least 12 years. I have always remembered it and wanted one so bad.
