Either this is some sort of bizarre joke, or the seller is demented.

That's what happens when you make a pilgrimage to North Canton. Off The Rails.

And it’s a “Slimline”?!?! Oh FFS!

A Slimline made in the 1980’s no less! That means it probably has that hideous rug/floor tool with the plastic cover and the vacuum is probably not in a vintage color combination original to its beginnings. Saw the seller’s profile and I’d love to know what they’re smoking in Battle Creek, because his dealer probably cut it too strong and that’s why he’s deluded.

IMHO, the, "Slimline", was marginal when new. The suction was okay but I would have used it as a garage vacuum and to clean my attic. If you had wall-to-wall which was prevalent at the time, you would never get your carpet clean.

It would have been a nice above the floor cleaner if you had a quality upright. Kind of like how Oreck sold those plastic cannisters with their uprights.

Keep in mind, I started this with, "IMHO", so don't go nuts.

Are you guys sure that's an empty box?

hoover706's profile picture
Even if it isn't empty, no one, absolutely no one, would ever pay that much for a vacuum. $25,000 would buy you a car, not a vacuum!

I needed that laugh...just wow...wasn't the 2017 out in the early 1970's?

My parents had a 1030 upright and paired it with a 2017 canister for their first home in 1972. This was before I was born but remember my mom talking about the vacuums before she went with a 1975 Sears Best Canister vacuum...I remember them in the garage as kid, not sure what happened to them...

I recall seeing vacuum ads for the 2017 and they were selling for $29.99 back then...too funny.

Pretty cool,

Still ludicrous, provided it isn't a scam...
I just want to know how they think it'll ever sell, real or not...
