What happens when you add metal wire bristles to a steel brush roll? It would cause aggressive agitation, but it would also damage certain carpeting.

It would damage the carpets, your floor, your skin, and anything within range of it. That would be very very dangerous. It would be like a buzzsaw. If you wanted to use the vacuum to scrub a driveway or garage floor clean, go for it. lol

You're essentially talking about making a miniature version of this

Wire brushes are only good for cleaning certain parts off of vacuums like brushroll bristles, rust off of metal, etc. But basically you'd destroy carpeting and barefloors as well. There's a reason why vacuum brands refuse to use something like that.
