i've been tinkering with kirbys for many years.recently i bought one which had a bad belt lifter.since i did not know how to fix it i just scraped it & replaced it with a spare i had.i noticed when i was putting it on the kirby that it did not have a suction relief on it.is this rare or an older nozzle before they put them on ?

Dwayne,

Believe it or not, I think you may have gotten an early production 516 nozzle!

The early 516s had no suction relief. That’s a cool find there!
