So, after some deliberation I have decided that i want to rebuild my Kirby omega, but I've never rebuilt a kirby before, any advice on how to do this is greatly appreciated.

Restoring a Kirby is pretty straight forward, esp the older models. I find it is fun, except maybe the heavy polishing parts.
