Why

Do you always have to be a dick to everyone and everything?

I'm sorry. You obviously don't know me. I help by answering questions from many members. If you can't see that maybe look at the archive. I also don't feed trolls.
Have you dealt or sold a vacuum to someone underage? It's a pain in the butt. I'm blunt and get to the point. You can provide feedback to other members or you can sit in the background and not say anything.
You don't know me and you don't provide any feedback on any topics. I'm here to help and getting straight to the point. Do you plan on providing feedback on thus thread?

Not sure what qualms Lesinutah has with people selling stuff, but I was selling stuff on eBay when I was 17. Never had any problems. Learned as I went. Some people can conduct themselves more professionally than others.

I have however had problems with several members on this site that are grown adults twice my age about selling things and not following up on the item. One seller I tried getting a vacuum from off OfferUp never shipped it after I paid and I went through hell with OfferUp to try and get my $100 back (OfferUp claimed they never had the $100, but it never showed up in my account either). Another person demanded I ship them a vacuum bag and was exceptionally rude and nasty about getting it fast and immediately, and then once I shipped it priority mail out of my own pocket at a large expense, I never heard from them again. No thank you for getting it, no confirmation that it was received, no nothing. Just disappeared into the void and gone.

So yeah I trust eBay more than Vacuumland as there is more protections in place for sellers and buyers (especially allowing them to get their money back) and if you don't hold to your responsibility you're banned from the site.

Can't sell to a minor as they are not of age to enter into a legal binding contract.

Nobody is selling to a minor.

Also read eBay's policy, its perfectly legal.

I was referring to a minor selling a vacuum. It could also be under the same scope on ebay where they don't have permission.
I have had this issue In short it sucked.

Concept,
Those VitaVacs are nice! I've had at least two of them that I bought from estate sales. I should have kept one.

Les,
Think before you post. Read it out loud to yourself. It is necessary? Can people understand the point you are trying to get across? Sometimes it's best not to say anything at all.

To get a general consensus of how people feel about a certain post. I go by the like feature. The feature tells me if the readers on Vacuumland agree with the post or if the poster is just spinning in his or her own universe.

The Vita Vac sold as well if not better than the Air-Way at the time. Air-Way door to door salesmen were almost extinct but Vita Mix continued to push the vacuums. I recently got an Air-Way with the vertical carry handle (like a Vita Vac) but without the nameplate and without the side pin striping. Making my Air-Way version extremely rare.

I have used the Douglas power nozzle that came with it (horrible), I have used a Perfect battery nozzle (awesome), and I have used the EBK 360 with it (the BEST).

Whomever wins that machine should immediately make a HEPA disposable bag for it. If you don't know how, I'll tell you.

You read what people like that's fine. I may be blunt and I really don't care if what I post is liked. I don't follow the leader. I have had conflicts I started as well as others started with me. If there I'd vacuum knowledge post it. It's basically judging a book by its cover.
I usually post trying help people about vacuums. I have not been on this site as long as other members but my post count is high. Is sitting back being a Monday morning quarterback helping. I contribute and participate to this board.
I don't talk to hear my own voice either. I atleast talk and have a voice.
I noticed the poster was underage. The post was very vague on if he was showing a vacuum for sale or it was him selling the vacuum. I have the right to ask the question. The vitamin for sell is a nice vacuum. If I'm interested in an buying a vacuum I want to know the seller. If the seller is underage I wouldn't purchase the vacuum.
I find it ironic that people are quick to correct me or confront me. The posters should stop following the leader and focus on helping out collectors with questions.
Tom thanks for the pic and info on the vacuum.

Les - your post was void of any class or tact. You don’t know the original poster.

Sometimes, it’s just better to to type what your opinion and then delete it without posting.

I've had some self realization. I have been a dink to pretty much every one. I apologize for offending anyone. I have to respect others and treat them with respect. Do unto others as you want done unto you.
I realize this and apologize for my behavior. I will not post for a while I'll just observe.

Dear Lesinutah

Firstly, sorry for the late reponse, trying to use my phone for vacuumland is a bad idea. I apologize for the vagueness of this post, I'm definitely new to this website and to selling on ebay, i have sold a fairly good amount of machines on Facebook marketplace. But i'm in my right, i am under adult supervision from my mother, and the vitavac is just sitting in a box, ready to be shipped, i see why you would doubt my credibility and it's wise to be cautious. My post definetly didn't meet the bare minimum when it comes to decent. My thought process was this might grab someone's attention, and lead them to my auction so they made the choice there, and now i recognize that was wrong. I will correct myself now and on. It is true i am operating an account underage. and to your amazement i'm not gonna just keep it and take the money, that's a scummy flakey thing. And im not looking for just money, i have a plan to buy parts for my other 3 machines i have in the garage. It makes sense why you'd think id just be a pain in the ass for my age. In the end though i just want to do business with willing people, and keep the cycle moving. I've lowered the price because it's cluttering the office.
