That one was definitely an outside dweller...
If it were like $10 I'd take a shot at restoring it.

I see you found this guy. He's been on eBay for years, I have no idea why he hasn't been banned yet. His username is vincenzo-lab from Hilton, New York and other times the listings are from Macedon New York. He has had vacuums up for sale, and you need to stay far away from them.

He is a hoarder and all of his junk he is selling has been sitting outdoors in an open field for the past 5-10 years or longer. DO NOT buy any of that stuff. It is junk that should be given away for free. Pay attention to the background in the photos of everything he has for sale.

He is a very hostile and very rude person. He has no scale or packaging to ship items, he just guesses the weight and makes up an arbitrary number off the top of his head.

He had a Dyson for sale once. I asked him to correct the shipping to my zip code because it was high. Guess what he did? Raised it another $50 to that it was $180 for shipping. I said "but you raised the shipping price" and he just said something to the effect of "yes, if you don't want it get lost"

That same Dyson is still on ebay, what 3 or 4 years later now. tinyurl.com/2vkv7vh6...

This Hoover he is selling doesn't even have a cord on it: tinyurl.com/zdrdrzf3...

Also his descriptions about "being purchased from a auction cleanup" are false. This stuff came from the side of the road.

You want an old Canon printer? $70. He says "this item has been sitting on a warehouse shelf " ---- yeah right! It's sitting in the back of an old truck on his yard.

It makes me laugh how many people pay over $100 shipping on electronics that are nothing but scrap metal and don't even care and then they leave him bad feedback because the item is filthy and rusty.

vincenzo-lab is a real scammer.

My Dual Sanitronic 80 was in the exactly the same if not very similar condition! I paid $20 for my Kirby which was on an OfferUp listing titled “vacuum.” The thing ran excellently and needed no more than a brand new belt to get it running again! How ANYBODY could even think about charging $195 total for something that should be sold for 10% of that is beyond me! “Either you’re playing dumb or it’s not an act” -Judge Judy.

For reference, this was how I found my Kirby:

But it's all VINTAGE!!
lol...

Hope that guy is kicked off for selling crap like that at those prices.

I left 3 new-looking printers on the curb last week while taking a new cowboy hat instead. Newer printers are worthless to me, esp inkjets, and esp HP inkjets.

I don’t mean to stir the pot but why shouldn’t we Mass report him? It’s just a thought that came into my headAs I’m just thinking we could get him kicked off eBay sooner

Well there's nothing really you can report him for other than not describing stuff properly or selling stuff for parts/not working (because it doesnt).

WOW!!

And I thought my Classic III was in rough shape! That thing would probably need at least $170 more to get it in usable condition, going off of what my Classic III required. That said, I saw a YouTube video of a Dual Sanitronic 80 that looked just as bad as this one that still ran. I wonder if this would still run.

Maybe someone should buy this and send it in to the Kirby factory rebuild program LOL. I’d love to see their reaction to this thing!

Factory Rebuild...

That would be hilarious! I wonder how many original parts would still be left on it when they were through. I think it would end up being kind of like the old trope about the family axe that had been in the family for 200 years and had only had six new handles and two new heads.

Well, Kirby can rebuild and warranty fire damaged vacuums, so I would imagine this would be easy. I'd imagine they have automotive level polishing and sanding machines in there.
