You do such amazing work.
The Sweeper-Vac sure had to be fun to work on. There's so much to it. They were trying to get around the Hoover patents by having a gear-driven belt and no wheels on the nozzle. That was the first machine that would let you shut off the brush, but since it didn't have wheels on the nozzle, it would scratch bare floors. The Sturtevant is very nice. I have a model 15. Those wires in the step down part to make it a 2 speed motor sure do look scary. I have not rebuilt my model 15, but when I do I will use your pics for reference points. Thanks again for all the pictures and the wonderful work you do. |

Looked in 8 file boxes of vac literature and did not find.Hoping to transfer these and MORE to file drawers. As I recall it had nice covers and string to hang as was typical of period and showed S-V shipped in 3 wooden boxes(motor-bag/handle/attachments). |
