Yeah, they're about as common as pretty much any other vintage Electrolux. That said, finding a good one at a decent price involves a certain amount patience persistence and pure dumb luck. It's sort of like fishing.
I've seen plenty of them on eBay but only one at a local thrift shop. They wanted more for it than I was willing to pay but it still sold within a week so somebody apparently thought it was a good deal. At least around here, Electrolux Discovery II/Epic/Genesis/etc. style uprights seem to show up more frequently at thrift shops than do the canisters; in fact, the only other two I've ever seen at local thrifts--a 1205 with all its accessories and a Diamond J with a PN5 and aftermarket hose--both of which I now own. |
