Les, this does not share a motor with ANY compact models. this uses a 5.1" single stage Ametek motor 119649-00. I don't know where you get these ideas from....
This same motor was used from the 360 at least through the black labeled model and may still be in use in the current models.

Wtf are you doing assuming everyone but you is stupid. I had a filter queen with the same 5.7 2 stage motor as the two speed tristars. I'm attaching a pic to help you. I hope you have not just took out a 5.7 inch motor and threw a smaller motor in. What motor do you think I was talking about? TriStar made how many 2 speed models. I hope you can figure that out pretty quick. Pic is the motor no longer in question.

I think it's pretty clear that he meant the one Cameron got based on this line
"Nice score it's got a compact 2 speed motor in it. " Les, I don't assume others are stupid. I do think you make far too many assumptions about machines which you are unfamiliar with. Sure you may have had a filter queen which did share that motor however that doesn't mean that all 2 speed filter queens shared that motor. If you had ever opened up a majestic 360 or later you would know this. " I hope you have not just took out a 5.7 inch motor and threw a smaller motor in. " Why would I have done that? These 5.1" motors are the stock motors. That particular machine was a bench vacuum at the vacuum shop I used to work at. I opened it up to see if they had changed motors between my 360 and that model. |

Because you say I'm pretty sure is an assumption. If I am wrong I own up to it. Just tone down the I smart I assume correctly. Assuming makes an @$$ out of you and out of me.
Inwa referring to m old 1998 majestic 360 anniversary edition. I could be wrong on the name but it was the violet machine. Have a great day carry on. |

I misread what you wrote, sorry about that. I think the model you're talking about from 1998 would be green in color and be either a 112A or 112B one of which was called the limited edition and the other was the 70th anniversary though I can't remember which is which. and I've only had one sample of those. I remember it having a PCB in it for the speed control. I'm curious now does that motor number read 116146? i'm not seeing a 3rd or 4th wire on that for the extra speeds?

Cam, yes the older 2 speed filer queens did use a 2 stage motors but there have been different ones used. There was both a 4 and 5 wire versions which were used in the 2 speed models with the high/low switch separately from the power switch. Then starting with the 112A they used a 3 wire motor with that three position rocker (high/off/low) switch, the 112a-112c 75th anniversary edition had dual stages, though i've heard it rumored some of the 75ths may have used a different motor.
Long ago I had both a triple crown and a 75th anniversary and while the 75th did use a dual stage, I THINK it may have been shorter though looking at this it may have just been a housing change with the 75th having the pre motor support integrated.
