The two vacuums im looking at are COMPLETELY different but intrigue me for numerous reasons. The first one my aunt had many years ago (the orange version). I almost had a chance to try it but that never came to pass. However I am a little scared to purchase it and have it crap out on me not too long after use as numerous reviews have stated happens if the filter stops working. But if treated right it could actually be a good cleaner (from what I know it was actually REALLY good, and the filter was its major design flaw). The other is a current Hoover (and probably one of their coolest in a LONG while). Made by Oreck (both now owned by TTI) It is the first ever Hoover upright to be fully cordless. The color scheme and overall aesthetic reminds me alot of the older Oreck XL's so its interesting to see Hoover doing something new like this. Both are on eBay right now. What do you guys think is the better choice.

Hoover is a sub par vacuum. The hoover cordless is regarded pretty highly. I'd go for the vacuum that won't crap out on you. I have a shark freestyle cordless it's not amazing but I tend to track mud on my boots when I get home. I turn it on and vacuum it up and it's done. It picks up the mud and sma debrih

Z. The cordless is likely higher rated than my shark.
That's my advice as a convenience vac.y
