So I was cruising around town and found a curious thing in the trash! Along with an Amway Cleartrack was this dirty beast! All it needed was a new belt and the bag swept out, what a monster. The bag pouch included an instruction leaflet and a very stiff spare belt.

R. J.,
Very awesome find! This one also has its belt cover intact! If you need any new belts in the future, ask for part no. 301289G if the brush roll is still the original one with sleeve bearings, or else if it was changed to the updated ball-bearing-equipped version, then ask for part no. 301291G. It also appears the original cord was replaced at one time, because of all the abuse it had went through at the hair salon. ~Ben This post was last edited 05/31/2021 at 15:41 |

The roller did indeed have a few long haired cats tangled up in it! It looks like it will take the old style oval shaped collar disposable bags, of which I am fresh out of but will be ordering some. I do have a good stock of the flat, non-knurled belts for it as I've heard the knurled belts can be very hard on the older models. It looks like it may not have been ran with a disposable bag for a long time, if not ever. I did shake the bag out and vacuum it thoroughly but it still has a pervasive scent of old hairspray or some overly floral chemlab spray lol. It sound good when it runs, the familiar low hum that makes it seem deceptively tame. I cant wait to give it a good try on my carpets.

Les,
Chris's COMVAC 1300 uses F&G-style disposable bags, not the Style 2, and the 1300 motor is the same as for the Super Sweep, Janitronic and Sanitronic. The COMVAC 1600 uses a variation of the Heritage I 1HD's 6 amp motor, with the same armature used as far back as the Classic Omega 1CB, as well as the same white plastic bellhousing. Spec sheets for both models included here to compare. ~Ben |
