I have been looking for a good Sanitronic 80 for awhile now, I am very happy with this one. The bearings are very dry, I will eventually fix that.

Karl,

Hold on to that Classic Omega bag, in case you ever find a Classic Omega 1CB that needs one.

I don't have a omega yet but I will some day. The omega bag is in great shape.

The original box is hard to find. Did you get the the handi waxer?
The link is the manual for the ds80.
This in my opinion is best deep cleaning kirby. The reason is the last 13" nozzle(other than heritage)and the power of the motor. It's one of my favorites.

The D80 is indeed a great machine! I got mine for $20 off offer up, it had no shine to it. And all it needed in order to run was a new belt! The cord had the insulation torn. Although I ordered a replacement off Amazon, I was sent the wrong cord, and held off on replacing it. The machine didn’t even have the right color cord to begin with. The handle was wrong too, but I kept it because it made look more like Kirby from The Brave Little Toaster which I grew up loving (and because of such, I affectionately named my DS80 “Kirby”). The machine itself looked like it had seen better days, but a year later, I cleaned it out, and polished it, put the right cord (which came from a 561 I scored at goodwill) and switch button on it, and put a new brush (the bearings in the old one died) and bag (the old one had holes) on it. Just yesterday I finally replaced the wheels (1. It had wide front wheels and 2. There were no treads left on all 4 wheels!). Despite that now somehow the bearings in my machine’s motor sound like they’re going bad (and have been for a while), I still love it (then again, I say that about everything old). Ive included 2 photos for a before and after of how my machine looks (I can’t stop talking about it!)
