Howdy vacuum friends!

Had a question about this nozzle, it came with the recent purchase of a Royal Power Tank. I know it's not original, the color is all wrong and it doesn't really attach to the Royal in any good way.
I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me the kind of machine it originally came with and how to put it back together? Currently, the metal hose connector doesn't stay inside the nozzle, it seems like it's missing some parts. But I might just be putting it together wrong!

It's a generic rug tool. "Fit all" type. They are still available today. They are very cheaply made.

Itís a fit all attachment. Most commonly sold in a kit with central vacuums. Iíve got a couple sets.

Glad it's not unique!

Thank you everyone, that helps. I think I'll just bundle it in with the recycling, since it's not particularly useful to me broken or otherwise.
Now I just have to source a replacement nozzle for the Royal!

They may be 'cheap quality' but they do outstanding job vacing bare floor & carpet w/o 'flipping a lever' like the 'so-called generic fit-all combo rug'floor tool'

I use that tool with my Ridgid vac for vacing garage carpet & also after cutting hair (Wahl Senior vacuum clippers don't vacuum ALL of the hairclippings due to the vac hose kinking)

That's what Sears Craftsman calls a 'dry nozzle' for their shop vacs

I like that it has a spring loaded brush & air vents on the front edge & corners; but don't like that the brush doesn't cover the entire width

I'd just donate it rather than recycle.

Would anyone want it, though?

@fan-of-fans, normally Iím in with donating it. Better to let someone else get lots of use out of it if Iím not!
The problem is, I think itís broken. Or mismatched, Iím not sure. When I got it, the metal hose connector was held on with Gorilla tape, and I found out why. It doesnít snap in to the nozzle head, but I canít find any obvious damage.
In the pictures here, does it look like itíll go back together? Iíve tried a few times, but I didnít want to break it any further than it might already be. I have the three rings apart for viewing purposes only, I assume they have to deal with connecting and sealing in some way. The metal ring seems to clip into the groove at the end of the hose connector, and the thin rubber ring seems to be a dust seal, but I have no idea about the flat plastic clip. Maybe a spacer between the two?
Am I missing a step in reassembling this thing?
