If you look at “sellers other items” you’ll see the new in box Electrolux’s he has. They are all uprights and it appears he has opened the boxes and put them together for pictures. One is the model that was recalled that has the cord coming out of the end of the handle. It was recalled because that spot is such a high wear spot that the cord insulation could break and since one’s hand is right there the user could then get electrocuted from the damaged cord. I’m not sure what changes the recall made. I would hope Aerus would honor the recall still.

They changed the cord location and put it at the back of the handle instead of the top. I do believe Some models also had the option to have it in the motor housing where the bag chamber and motor housing connect.
