I guess anything is possible. That's a diehard collector to pay that sum....and that's putting it politely. Unfortunately, if it sells for anywhere near that it will influence pricing on the rest of the eBay rubble like it. Kevin |

I don't think I can remember a common Convertible so expensive. Models from "The Vault" got pretty high, but I'm pretty sure most, if not all of them, were under a $1,000. That was years ago. The most expensive eBay vacuum auction I can remember was a Kirby from the 30s or 40s with an orginal bag in amazing shape. Genuinely rare and very hard to find in orginal conditon. If I remember correctly, it was somwhere around $10k. Like you could buy a decent used car with the money. There was big thread on here watching the countdown.

There is a Lewyt Electronic that goes up on eBay a few times per year. It's very rare (I have one in chrome). I watch the bidding go through the roof, everyone is watching it - then the listing is removed due to an 'error' in the listing. Interestingly, only a few people (like maybe 3) are the bidders who place almost constant bids to try and outdo each other. Are they the seller's friends, who know the listing is going to be removed? It's always interesting to watch those very expensive items go through the roof only to be 'removed' at the last minute. Almost like a "see what I have" type of thing where they never "really" wanted to sell it.

many of mine are already promised to others. If anyone sees my sister or nephew selling my cleaners, well.................enjoy.
' I have detailed instructions as to how to liquidate them. Tom A. is aware as well. What about NIB and the box is still sealed? You'll maybe never see what's inside! Not what they were made for. But, it's not my concern. |
