January 28 1991.
I'm guessing as it's January 28 on bottom left. The rest is tax and item codes. 42 could be the cashier sign on number. I worked at Walgreens as front end manager. If you show me a receipt I could tell you everything. That's a very nice find you have there. I know you don't horde vacuums like I do. It's a real nice color scheme. It's a eureka rotomatic power team. I'm only guessing but it's a very nice machine. Iirc you have an Electrolux and an early compact. Congrats. Les |

This Eureka 1680 is from the very first generation of Sweet Sixteens introduced in 1970. There were less deluxe models in the line up (1620, 1640, 1660).
Here is a TV commercial from 1970 - I think it was produced by the famous Young & Rubicam ad agency.... CLICK HERE TO GO TO eurekaprince's LINK |

That blue/gray color always looks so good on vacuums, especially metal ones. I've always liked these Eureka models. Eureka always had some of the better looking machines, I think. Always smartly colored and great paint jobs with the polished metal around the switches. |
