Here's an interesting find from shopgoodwill. I recognize this model of Westinghouse hand vac, but I've never seen it with such a long handle that would turn it into an upright. Is this something custom or did anything come out of the factory looking like this?

It has been a long time since I have seen one of these but I do believe this option was offered from the factory for apartments and small spaces. Kind of unique in its own way, and these were very nice hand vacs to use for the time.

Gotta say, that's a first for me seeing one like that.

I don't know why but the thick handle makes me think of an old school microphone. LOL

Cool find!

Seen these before. There usually listed as handvacs. They look like a smaller version of the early Kenmore vacuums.

I have a hand vacuum like that one. Minus the upright style handle. That is an apartment size vacuum for sure.

My Mother always refers to Kirby vacuums prior to 1970 as apartment size vacuums.

Some day when she says that I'm going to ask her if she considers her 1973 Kirby omega model a house size vacuum? Just for kicks to see what kind of answer I get from her.
