Old Boraxo soap dispenser at church. There are several of them and the custodian keeps them filled with Boraxo. The church was built in 1956 but those dispensers look older than that. I'd say early 1930s.

Hadn't thought of Boraxo in years...

My grandfather used to keep a container of that stuff next to the kitchen sink, along with a bar of Lava soap.

Boraxo is a very effective hand cleaner and is still available.

I don't know for sure

but the script looks fairly contemporary.

I love that stuff!
It's never failed to clean any kind of grease and grime off my hands, and I really like how it smells.

Very neat dispenser! Cool to see it still in use.

This reminds me of those old soap dispensers with a glass globe container that mounts upside down with a push valve on the bottom. I've seen some on eBay but they are quite expensive. Later ones have a plastic globe.

That is a neat find! Maybe the janitor could find you one tucked away that the church no longer uses. That would be a nice piece in any bathroom. I wouldn't mind having one of those "endless towels" (the rolling cloth towel that rolls back into a metal box that gets chemically treated). I remember seeing them all over in gas stations back in the '70's and '80's. Definitely NOT Covid safe.
