Looks really well preserved.
If it wasn't so far, I'd probably have bought it by now.

Listing appears to be gone.
Did one of us grab it?

You live in Western Mass and this was in Albany?

What is your definition of "far" ?

Springfield to Albany is about 1hr 20min. Please don't tell us you live in Pittsfield or Stockbridge each of which is about 45 minutes from Albany.

It's interesting how different regions have differing definitions on what is a tolerable commute.  I know on the East coast anything over 15 minutes some would consider a long way.   In the midwest it's a 45 minute commute.  L.A.  there are people driving up to 1 1/2 one way from L.A. inland.

That's so true.
I have relatives who live in the south, and think nothing of commuting an hour each way to go to work every day.
It would have to be something I couldn't live without in order for me to drive over an hour each way.
Especially right now, where I've been dealing with a health issue that limits my ability to drive, or flat out prevents me from driving when it's really bad.
This GE looked really nice, I love the green, and I'm sure I would have had fun cleaning it up and trying it out.
But, at the end of the day, I don't have any more room. I almost got kicked out by my better half for dragging home another Electrolux/Aerus, and that's something that I'm putting into the rotation for actual use.
Now; that was a model that I've REALLY wanted for years. It was a half hour drive each way to get to that one, and I felt like THAT was pushing my limits. Fortunately, I wasn't feeling too bad physically that day.
Thanks for making me smile this morning, by pointing out how different people define "too far". We humans have our quirks; don't we?
I hope this GE went to a good home!

Barry

Where my aunt lived in rural Tennessee - it took a 2 hour round trip just to go to the grocery store. She stockpiled food months in advance for winter when the snow made driving that far treacherous on unmaintained back-roads (considering she had a little Dodge Dynasty K-car and not a big truck)

Where I live, going to the store takes 10 mins.
