Well this needs some explaining. So this is made from parts what I already had. Motor is from Shark upright, Bin is from Dyson DC14 and powerhead is Electrolux Paragon. Motor is located in the insulated box with baffles to reduce the noise level. Well it helps, but it's still a bit noisy. Only filtration is the DC14 foam and microfilter in top of the bin. How powerful it is? Measured suction and airflow numbers: - suction from the hose end 75" waterlift - airflow from the hose end 66 cfm - airflow from the nozzle 53 cfm (more than typical cheap Walmart uprights) So if you have something to ask, please ask :) Video in the link. I've also built a homemade vacuum, except mine was a canister. It was basically a Kenmore Progressive motor stuck on the end of some PVC pipe with massive Quik-Plumb fittings. Then I used pipe clamps to fasten the whole thing to a 1x6 board with casters on the bottom. For the tools, I used an existing Shop-Vac hose and tools. I'll have to find it and post a picture of in on here. It's actually quite powerful!
