Hi,

Am new to this part of the website (am a regular member of the washer/dryer side of the house) and wanted to share my latest find yesterday. My Mom had an Airway Sanitizor for nearly 30 years before opting for a new vacuum.

I went on ebay and see parts are still available — would love to find the metal wand and hose attachments to be able to vacuum floors, etc. I was surprised the attachments (except the crevice tool) came along with it! And when I plugged it in, it worked like a charm!

Anyway, wanted to share and hope to get this fully restored!

You need to contact Tania Voigt. She is the Air-Way expert and has spare parts.
We have been friends for 20 years and she has helped me out with parts before.

Congrats on the purchase, Todd !

And welcome to the group.

My Aunt had a 60s minty green Airway with the souped "sport package" with big plastic wheels on the back.  I remember as a 3 y.o. pushing it around  like it was a toy and trying to ride it (in it's horizontal position).

I remember a similar model Airway to yours got fame on an episode of Dragnet.

Congratulations. I have one of virtually all the different Air-Way models starting with the 1920 upright.

Your model 77 is very nice. There was an optional wheel set called the Air-Way Wheel-Away. Hope you get yours restored. Do NOT use the plain white disposable bags, they leak dirt and plug up with dust destroying the motor.

I added a battery powered Power Nozzle for deep carpet cleaning to mine.

Nice Find!

I have a model 77 that was given to me by a friend and fellow collector several years ago. Just last year I found a set of attachments and carrier on ebay to make it almost complete, except I am still missing the wands. Here's a couple pics, the first one being the AirWay and what came with it when I got it, and the second is the attachments and carrier.
