Hey all, I've been wandering around here without posting for sometime, who would have ever thought there is this much love for vacuums.

Anyway, I had recently come across a Royal 2025, and decided to buy it. This is my first royal, really it'd my first decent vacuum, aha. It's a screamer but it does good. This one is one of a kind though, one of the previous owners decided to paint the housings a metallic blue, I'm not sure why, as I like the polished metal look, but it isn't bad looking. When I can I'll post up some pictures. I needs a tad bit of work however. The power switch is a little iffy, and it needs a new brushroll and belt.

I've been looking for said parts for a while and can't seem to find any part numbers for these items. Or at least, no numbers with anything available, except for the brushroll, all the ones I seem to find don't have the stiffeners, and mine comes with it. I would prefer to keep it that way if possible. I was hoping since everyone here is full of knowledge, you all might have the part numbers, or updated part numbers, to the items I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Love this place

Not sure, but does it have the adjustable brush roll?

That's a very good question, my knowledge is very limited here on these vacuums, I am new to this whole scene after all. How would I be able to tell if it is adjustable?

I believe it is octagon square ends on brush roll. I think the octagon is notched like Kirby's g series brush rolls. If you wear it put from 1 to 2 slot.
I have an adoninized copper/gold royal. Mine was done by an owner as the carbon brushes were copper. The royal should be 6 or 7 amp motor. There's parts available. If Ben sees post he has parts number and helped me locate quite a few parts.

According to every site I've tried to find parts on, they list this motor as a 10 amp. I'm not exactly sure how true that is, but I wouldn't be surprised either. I should probably pick up a set of brushes for the motor too, that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Also yes, the brushroll has hexagon looking ends, not the older square end design.

If it's a 10 amp it's a commercial version. I had a 1030z made in 2008. I sold it to another member.
Does it have chrome caps over motor brush where you can replace carbon brushes. If it doesn't it's a drop in motor design.

Sorry to report back late, it's been a busy week.

To answer your question Les, it doesn't have a cap, its the drop in kind. Although I had assumed it's also a brushed motor despite the design difference, it may not be. I have no problem with taking everything apart to get to the carbon brushes if it has them.

I recently upgraded to the genuine HEPA bags, what a difference it made, although I noticed there is a very very small leak between the external bag and the head, it appears the o-ring/gasket inside the external bag is dry and worn out. Although based on its appearance, it looks like even if the o-ring/gasket thing was new, it would have a very very slight leak still. I had hoped it would have been better sealed, I'm going to look into modifying it for a better seal. Does anyone by chance have a part number for the external bag o-ring/gasket?
