I've seen a few Premier and GE Junior models but this one just looks odd. If you look at the picture of the nozzle area it looks like its been cut. Almost like someone took an AV1 and cut either end of the nozzle off to shorten its width. What would be the purpose of even doing that?

It has been cut. I've no idea why, but it has. And it's been rattle-canned silver that's flaking off. So it looks like crap, it's been basically irreversibly damaged, and they want $400+ for it. What are they smoking?

The model number is 69. That's a straight suction upright. It's been cut, and the ends are open which destroys its ability to vacuum anything. Complete and total rip off. Take the bag off, sell it for $10, and throw the damn thing in the trash.

Why would they do that?

Its not even like they turned it into a lamp. They just purposely ruined it for no clear reason. The paint does remind me of my D50 before I started on it lol.

Seen "cut" GE and other older metal vacuums like this to be used as dust collectors on stationary belt sanders.Older Popular Mechanics magazines show this mod.But to sell this vacuum as a floor vacuum is a joke.

You know what the worst part is? It is A VACUUM SHOP!!!! selling it! They must have some kind of tax money laundering scheme going because there is no way they don't know that this thing does not work.

'--magazines--"

Good theory above.I have seen articles of upright vacs turned into blacksmith blowers and shop type vacs as well a a tank vac used as disc sander.

I asked them in a nice way if they knew that the ends were cut off and everything and this is what they told me:

"We greatly appreciate your comments. We are aware of the modifications on this GE vacuum. The pictures surely show that"

So, oh well, what can you do? People on eBay are crazy. I think they see those "trash to treasure" shows on TV and think anything old is a goldmine.

I have bought a few items from them

I was in need of a bottom plate with belt protector for a Hoover Model 305 and they had one, I bought it. I would guess that is a hard item to find. Another time I needed an original bag holder, a scissor type, for a Hoover Model 541 and they had it. I was recently given a Hoover Model 150 which had no handle nor switch and yes they had one. I have not bought the handle as I already have a complete 150. But again the handle was at a good fair price. They have always been nice to deal with and their pricing fair to me. I have bought other items from them over the past few years.
I believe the company has been in business for many years and I think I have been dealing with the owners daughter.
Well, that is my 2 cents worth.
