"just unscrew?" No!The flexible hose has a metal ring inserted at end,then 1 inch wide plastic ring over end with 2 tabs,that lock into 2 holes in hose end when pushed together.This can be removed but not easily. | ||

Thanks for the info, Jimmy. I'm used to the Electrolux USA upright hose ends that "just unscrew". Also, I've seen Hoover hose ends for sale online. Are the Swingette & Dial-A-Matic hose ends the same style? Again, I'm going by what I've seen for sale online. | ||

I just acquired a set of seal greige tools, so now I'd rather have the same color hose. Hoover used seal greige as its tool color from 1966 to 1971; so the first Swingettes, from 1970-71, were that color. | ||

Hoover hoses Swingette & DAM hoses should be same with DAM having rubber piece to hang on upright handle.On some later models both could have tool holder at machine end. | ||
