I have the taupe tools but no hose or shoulder strap for my early '70s Hoover Swingette. The taupe (tan) attachments were used from circa 1971 to 1975.

Looking for good to new condition items (a dirty hose is ok as long as it works well).

_______

Another option I'm wondering about is swapping out the hose end of another model line's hose. Do they just unscrew?

"just unscrew?"

No!The flexible hose has a metal ring inserted at end, then 1 inch wide plastic ring over end with 2 tabs, that lock into 2 holes in hose end when pushed together. This can be removed but not easily.

Thanks for the info, Jimmy. I'm used to the Electrolux USA upright hose ends that "just unscrew". Also, I've seen Hoover hose ends for sale online.

Are the Swingette & Dial-A-Matic hose ends the same style? Again, I'm going by what I've seen for sale online.

I just acquired a set of seal greige tools, so now I'd rather have the same color hose.

Hoover used seal greige as its tool color from 1966 to 1971; so the first Swingettes, from 1970-71, were that color.

Hoover hoses

Swingette & DAM hoses should be same with DAM having rubber piece to hang on upright handle. On some later models both could have tool holder at machine end.

Thanks again, Jimmy. Much appreciated.
