Sometimes the best time to add to your collection or when things are on sale.
there are a lot of bad deals on vacuum cleaners on Black Friday.
I keepa running list on Amazon,Facebook,Reddit.

I have the Rug Doctor Mighty Pro X3...

That is one great machine! Highly recommend. It is worth the $400, it should last at minimum double the life of any consumer-grade Bissell or Hoover. It's the first carpet cleaner I've used with better-than-average suction, both at the floor nozzle and the hose. It's got a forceful spray as well. It also has much more clean and dirty-water capacity, so you're not filling or emptying tanks every time you blink an eye.

The spray and suction of my old Hoover FH50150 SpinScrub was anemic in comparison and didn't seem anywhere near as durable. It seemed to do a good job, but then again, it's just my wife and I with no kids or pets -- we've never wore shoes beyond our foyer or never have eaten anything past our dining room so I can't say how well it would have done in an "average" family household. I only clean our carpets for maintenance more than anything as we have no stains. Our vehicles have WeatherTech mats and leather seats -- and we've never eaten anything in them -- so I'm not sure how it would perform with "average" soil of an "average" vehicle. I do know that I've had to replace the turbine assembly twice in just three years of ownership. Moisture tends to end up in the bearings of the turbine assembly -- even if you remove the brush cartridge and wipe the underside of the machine after use like I did.

@superocd Glad you liked your rug Doctor! I've always liked them both to work on and use. It's a shame they're moving away from the X3 and other legacy blue model machines to cheap disposable red model machines.

the Hoover turbine machines really are kind of a temporary Band-Aid for carpet cleaner.

All way over my budget unfortunately. If I saved for 4 weeks I might be able to afford that Mighty Mite but I already have one I paid $10 for plus a Sanitare of similar so no need for me to get one.

Now if that Direct Tools Outlet gets some vacuums in and goes full send this year with Black Friday like they did last year...now that will be epic.

@huskyvacs I would love to see a "Direct Tools Outlet" sale again.
