If anyone has one for sale, I would like to buy one of the genuine tan kirby open top bags. I am converting my to paper bags and generally prefer the look of the open top bags. My email is kierangegler@gmail.com. Thanks!

Hey

Kirby never made a sanitronic open top bag. Open tops ended at model 561. The 562 started shakeout bags. It was also first sanitronic bag made.
You will not find a genuine Kirby sanitronic open top bag.
The one you have on the picture and a green one of the same design can be found on eBay for $30 or so.
If you go on eBay search Kirby vacuum outer bag. If you don't mind non Kirby items you will find what you are looking for.

Just looked it up because i remember seeing a genuine replacement in that color, but I was thinking of the replacement from 1982 that had a rubber top. Fortunately, I literally just found an original on a parts machine on ebay. Thanks for your help!

The seller from Oregon is the one you bought if I remember correctly. The original have plastic bag topper and sani pocket. You may find a full length zipper but I think classic is first long zippered closed top bag.

Actually, the one I found was a 561 dressed in s7/d50 trim coming from PA. The bag is a little rough but it is an original with the small circles and rubber top. This Kirby had been up there for a couple years, so he took my offer very quickly. Yes, I know the bag is not the exact original (circles not ovals, and an earlier top), but I would just feel better about using and modifying a used and (to be) repaired bag. I will post some pics when it arrives.

I have quite a few Kirby OEM bags and a few bags that aren't OEM. The non OEM are really sweet bags.
