Has anyone ever heard of or dealt with a site called Encompass Parts? I need a part from them and I was wondering if anyone has ever bought from their site.

This is a really weird website. It says that the company is located in Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta and Las Vegas, but the site is partly in Canadian French, and the prices are listed in Canadian dollars. Too weird to be trusted if you ask me.

Oh? Did it convert the site for you because you live in Canada perhaps?

I did a Whois on them and it says they are owned by Encompass Supply Chain Solutions, Inc., which has an A+ with the BBB but terrible reviews by consumers.

I only ask because I need a brushroll and this site is the only one I could find it on.

Oh the bottom right of the page you can change the currency based on your region - I guess it autoconverts it based on your IP

They might just have a poorly-designed website.

A lot of old UK Engineering Companies just have basic 'web presence' sites, with poor functionality, and bad feedback. Especially when they're not geared up for online business. They outsource their web design and are sometimes unaware of online problems or bad comments. Customers tend not to leave good feedback when all goes well. So the balance tends to weigh towards bad feedback.

Pay with your Credit Card (even partially) and you'll be fully covered.

Well I'll give it a shot and see what happens I guess, I mean the part I need is only about $15 so not too big of a gamble.

Interesting!! I guess it “auto-converted” to French Canada preferences based on my IP address. Most American sites don’t do that.

They sell a lot of parts for electronic repairs. problem is a lot of what they list isn't in stock and when u order it they contact the manufacture and they don't have it. so unless the item is in stock or something that is current product from the past couple years its probably just a waste of time ordering it.
