I thought I had a good week getting Kirby 515 bag, TriStar cxl, and super rare electro hygiene 980 and you dye a sanatronic bag, get a 508 bag and a green eureka rotomatic from 1951 oh and a classic in mint condition. I'm wondering if you have any vacuum that isn't in pristine condition.
I'm not a huge rotomatic fan I had a pink GE version and it was weak. Green looks sweet on the rotomatic. I'm going to get me an avacado green shag carpet paint the walls pickle green. Bust out my d80 wearing plad and flannel clothes with some penny loafers and vacuum my shag carpet until my envy fades any color other than green.
Sweet vacuum.
Do you have any unpolished vacuums?
Les

Wow! A Golden Anniversary edition from 1959 - the year I was born! Looks like it was hardly used!

I always wondered why Eureka toyed with a vinyl hose at a time when most Eurekas had braided “gimp” hoses. It seems as if this happened several times with different canisters in the late 1950’s and the 1960’s. Were they trying out different materials to get a better hose? Were they responding to ongoing problems with both vinyl and braided hoses? Can’t seem to figure out why they went to vinyl and then did not stay with that material in the early 1960’s.

Golden Crown Roto-Matic

Looks great!!Matching attachments can be hard to find but the correct hose is near impossible. Please be gentle with it and DO NOT leave hanging as in picture. This looks great in pic but after do not strain it.Cord would have also matched the green but rarely survives. How would green Kirby cord look?
HOSES--In mid to late 50s many color matched hoses came from Dayco Rubber Co.There were small magazine ads that your Kirby,GE,etc hose came from Dayco. All was great until sudden cracks appeared and then they had to be taped, shortened or replaced. Then back to braided that could gradually leak and lose suction but would stay in one piece.

Les: lol. White penny loafers... and I know you aren’t being rude at all.

Thank you for the compliments!

I have a red roto-matic too... it’s a fun machine!
