Full control panel. Very high-quality, especially compared to the plastic junk that was on the market with it at the time.

That is awesome! What does a VGIII look like? Does it have any beater bars/nubs or just bristles? I bet it's pretty mean.

Was this model a commercial one?Its VERY nice!!!Now if the motor in this vacuum was REALLY 4hp-you would need a 120V30A circuit to run it from or a 240V15A circuit.HATE those INFLATED motor ratings!

I LOVE the looks of these, very much reminds me of the Electrolux Commemorative edition.

The Vibra Groomer 3 has four rows with stiffeners so it is similar to the Hoover Quadra flex that was out at the time. Sanitaire at that time had their own dealers, many of them did not sell the Eureka line. Only the Sanitaire line. This particular machine was designed for those commercial upright dealers. So there were very few actually sold.

the motor

Did it use an Ametek motor? Since I love canister vacs, I bet I would have loved this machine, perhaps I can see it at next year's convention.

My new ultimate cleaning combo team. My Imperial, which is just as about as good as an upright vacuum can possibly get, along with my chrome Sanitaire. I have no doubt that together, hair from two large border Collie‘s will cease to exist in this room, at least for a little while.

Well color me embarassed

I've never seen nor heard of the Eureka Imperial. Was this model for commercial use? When was it produced?

I have the same imperial. It was produced same time the eureka imperial cannister vacuum.
My imperial outperformed my sanitairre blue line. The sanitairre I got 141 cfm. I got imperial at 142cfm. It was then I realized how strong eureka and sanitairre are.
I really like the power nozzle from sanitairre it's like it's a commercial uprights.
