Thanks Paul, the wand of this machine has two sections, yes, it may not be clear on the pictures. Is it a reliable cleaner on the long term? What does usually break on this model and is it expensive to fix or repair? |

Yes, cords and cord reels have a hard time, no matter the model. |

That was one of my dream machines for years.
Finally, a few years ago, I found one discarded on the tree belt. Basically, I only got the canister and bare floor tool, and it was badly abused. I hoped I could just give it a good cleaning, and track down the missing bits and pieces on eBay. Turns out, as a result of the aforementioned abuse by the previous owner, the motor is shot in mine. And, I've been unable to find the on-board tools in the correct color. So, I have a really nice looking decoration for now. I have a replacement used motor for it, but I'm not the DIY type. I hope you enjoy yours! And, yes...the cord retractor could quit working. One of my other 6500s has that problem. Very nice vacuums in general though! Barry |
