How does the motor sound, good shape? No experiences with them but I remember seeing many in use back in their day.Hope you can find a clip for it. |

I don't know but there is a habitat for humanity near me. Latches are plentiful in a place like this. Someone may have a parts vacuum and have same bracket. Old chests have latches tool boxes etc. Just match them up. I wouldn't use original bags. I'd save them and use other bags more accessible.
Those are two very nice looking vacuums. I have seen a older vacuum similar to rotomatic and it's sweetest vaccuum I've seen. Les |

I know the atlas is super rare. It's also a pretty penny. I have that rocket which is 4.2 amps. I also have duo clean rocket that's 5 amps. I've gotten 2 lift aways from thrift store. I tore apart one and it got thrown out as it was too far gone. The other I gifted to my father and got him a 12 ft hose and new filters for it. He loves it.
I do love rockets because other than compact no straight air machines and when I work on vacuums I drop screws etc and a normal vacuum would get ruined. This sucks them up and o get magnet and collect all MIA screws. The blue royal is my favorite color on vacuums. I want a canister and a power team 12 amp one. I have to thin out my huge herd but the royal power team is one I'll be getting. Those are in very nice shape being that old. Les |

I actually had my riccar Supra lite 4 I replaced fan but it had a foam gasket and it basically was what you have there. I wouldn't even call it makeshift as it's probably what you would get if you ordered one. Ya the atlas pic I got off eBay is over $200. I have a dresser a ottoman dresser 2drawer chest a rolling cart and 3 rugs and side of bed has drawers and screws are everywhere. I check once a month. Im in process of taking all vacuum items to the shed and have a bedroom back.
I like sharks work great for what I need. The gasket is perfect and clamp should work good. I have a 1920s royal 3 wheel vacuum. I'm going to have to make something for back single wheel. I asked only place that has any royal parts and nothing. I may get a early 500 series spacer off a Kirby housing I busted back body piece off. I may have to drill center of vacuum wheel out to fit but I think it will work. Les |
