If you ever decide to take the plug from the ZB86, I'd gladly buy from you the electric connectors with the plastic cover in the rear end. I need them to fix a ZB89.

Another option is for me to send you a good plug from one of my AP-100s already stripped for parts. THat will not solve my ZB89 problem, but it will help you fix your AP200 without ruining your ZB86.

A friend of mine bought for me two ZB88 yesterday, one is supposed to have a bad motor but a nice canister and the other one a damaged canister but a good motor, I may end up making one good machine out of two, and use the connections of the second ZB88 (red machine) to make my ZB89 (green machine) work. So it is possible I won't need these connections from you.

I wouldn't be able to tell before a few days, this friend doesn't live close to my place.

Well so far i have the hose on bag in as a test and wires going in .I am using the lux model 86 handel and switch but ; the cord rewing is out of commission so im running the wires to the switch motor from the hole in the top and i will use grommets to plug motor switch and cord together whit out having a cord rewind .In other words the cord rewind is for show on ly , but the wires plug in the housing whit grommets .Motor to switch to cord repeat and voila straight suction unit .

I may end up doing the same with my ZB89, if I plug it directly I won't need the reel connections, I think the reel works properly (not sure of that) but it's missing the electrical connections.

Yes my cord reel is not in the best of shapes so i remove it from the housing ,after that i fed the wires in the opening . The plastic tab had 2 holes in it so i fed the wires there whit grommets (3) .So il be able to wire every thing while still having it l look original enough .
At picture il post in a minute you can see how i did it
