Howdy!
Congrats on the 501. That seal is a weak point. As a (lazy but effective) fix for mine, I took an old 501 disposable paper bag and tore off the filter media, leaving behind the thick paper/cardboard ring only. With that situated in between the bag collar and the body of the vac, the leak is gone.
The right weatherstripping carefully glued or double-side taped in there may also work. Good luck! | ||
