Here in South Africa the 500 series that were locally manufactured ( from midway through the 506 run ) were rebuild able, You can open them up remove the fans replace the bearings and so on But From what have heard this is not the case with any of the 500 or 600 models . The good news is that their are many Electrolux models which motors would fit that machine, Electrolux 600 series and the Glider and contour 1 and II motors will fit, I have a 502s with a 1200 watt Contour 2( imported not made locally ) motor in it and it is a beast. You should be ale to find something on Ebay that can help. Hope you come right Gareth | ||
